There's a distance between what you can see as a leader and what your congregation, your volunteers, and your staff actually experience week to week. You see what the church could be. They see what it is right now. That space in between is one of the heaviest things a leader carries — the vision gap.

And here's what's worth naming: fuzziness in vision is normal. You can't pour yourself into ministry day after day, pulled in a hundred directions, without going through seasons where the vision feels crystal clear and seasons where it feels muddy. That's not a failure of leadership. It's the nature of it.

What changes everything is getting the vision out of your head and onto the table, clarified in a way the whole team can see, taste, and feel. Not more to do, just the right things done with clarity. We've rarely met a church that didn't need to do less, better.
